Liposuction is one of the most requested procedures in the country by patients to help them reduce the fat layer on problem areas of their body. Most liposuction sessions last about an hour and can be done under simple IV sedation and will also include tumescent infiltration. This tumescent infiltration contains a combination of adrenalin and very diluted anesthetic that helps with the removal of the fat cells. The application of the tumescent infiltration that Dr. Sadati provides helps to minimize bleeding and speeds healing for the patient after the procedure.
One newer liposuction procedure utilizes ultrasonic waves to loosen the fat layer beneath the skin before removal. This ultrasonic assisted technique allows for a smaller incision than the standard procedure and may be a great alternative for patients with smaller areas of concern. This procedure allows them to address these smaller pockets of isolated fat with ultrasonic assisted liposuction and have the fat removed with a syringe instead of the typical vacuum device. In many cases this will reduce the amount of surgery needed and shorten the recovery period for the patient.
In addition to the standard liposuction procedure used on the waistline and hips, Dr. Sadati also offers a mini liposuction treatment for areas of the face a neck with unwanted fat deposits.
