A Journey of Resilience Dr. Kevin Sadati’s life story is one of transformation, resilience, and passion. What began as a young medic in the Iran-Iraq War evolved into a remarkable journey that took him from the battlefield to becoming one of the leading facial plastic surgeons in the United States.

When Dr. Sadati was drafted as a medic during the war, his focus was originally on engineering. But caring for wounded soldiers changed everything.

“Helping those men in their most vulnerable moments lit a fire inside me,” he remembers. This experience shifted his dream from building machines to healing people—a calling that eventually led him to leave Iran and pursue medicine abroad.

Arriving in the United States at 23 with limited resources, he relied on grit and determination. He worked his way through school, mastering English while tackling demanding scientific subjects to earn a degree in Molecular Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. These early struggles shaped his work ethic: “It wasn’t easy, but those challenges made every success even more meaningful.”

During his medical training—which included a medical degree from Midwestern University and residencies in General Surgery, ENT, and Facial Plastic Surgery in Philadelphia—he discovered a profound passion for sculpture and painting.
